001 Unfolded Houses
"unfolded houses" is a proposal for a competition called "Arts&Life : Where will we live tomorrow?" held by Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum. Since it offered to build 1:1 house for the winner, we proposed an idea to exhibit the options = "could be architecture" in parallel. With a respect for the power of two dimentional architectural drawing like blueprints, the study started from unfolding plan drawing. In order to find out as many matters as possible only from flat plan, each option has tested physically. It won Judge Akihisa Hirata Award and the model presented at the museum.
