Mariko Abe is a designer, and architect based in Tokyo/Yokohama Japan. Mariko began her studies at Miyagi University and later at London Metropolitan University. She worked for Kengo Kuma (Tokyo) and DGT Architects (Paris) and had been in charge of international projects including resort hotels, retail, residential, exhibition scenography, and art installations, at various sites such as Tokyo / Paris / NY / Milan / Basel / Yunfeng China /Taipei. After she experienced projects in varied fields, her main interest now is the translation from the concept to the spatial experience.
